What is the state of the "Enable wireless" checkbox menu entry in the right-click menu for the NetworkManager applet?
>From what I can tell right now, it seems like this may be an issue with killswitch behaviour for that specific wifi card, but with the state of Enable wireless (make sure it's on), and the text listed for the wifi device (it may read something like "device not ready" or "missing firmware"), we should be able to confirm whether NetworkManager has anything to do with it. As an additional check, could you please attach a copy of the file in /var/lib/NetworkManager/NetworkManager.state to this bug report? Thanks in advance. ** Changed in: network-manager-applet (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete ** Changed in: network-manager-applet (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Medium -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/655530 Title: Wifi card does not turn on properly on reboot -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
