Hi, Great to find this thread! Been struggling quite a bit with different distributions on this machine in order to find something that works. A really odd observation, as it seems to me, is that I managed to get LXDE Mint 10 Gnome to work perfectly in this respect, but not Ubuntu. Unfortunately I get the problem when I try Linux Mint 10 LXDE release candiadate which is the one I would need for my 256 mb RAM. But I will try BIOS upgrade and disabling the kernel module that seems to be acting up. Then I might be able to go to Lubuntu!
