Alex - if the icon is in the Dash, in the Installed section, then you have a .desktop file for inkscape somewhere in the path that Unity picks up applications from. Most likely one of:
/usr/share/applications/inkscape.desktop /usr/local/share/applications/inkscape.desktop /usr/share/gnome/applications/inkscape.desktop Can you confirm? If it's under the Available group then it just means that it's in the repositories and available for installation, which is not a bug. Please reopen the bug with an appropriate status when you have some feedback. ** Changed in: unity-place-applications Status: Triaged => Incomplete ** Changed in: unity Status: Triaged => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/667877 Title: application icon remains after apt-get remove -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
