libgadu-1.10.0 provides support for typing notifications and multilogon. If Kadu is built against it (libgadu-1.10.0 exports new symbols), that support is enabled in Kadu. Other clients don't need to be recompiled as they don't support new libgadu yet and the new version is API/ABI backwards compatible. Though, it's been discovered that there is a regression resulting in non-working proxy connection in libgadu-1.10.0. It's already fixed upstream in r1059.
