@David After I add that line and reboot, the internal mic works, but an exteranl one does not. In alsamixer analog mic boost does not show the "volume" bar like on PCM and capture, instead it shows XdB (which you can adjust from 0db to 40dB). The analog mic boost does nothing for the external mic.
