I confirm this bug. I am not very familiar with Kubuntu, but have some experience. During installation of Kubuntu from .iso cd, during partitioning process exactly the same bug was notices. Some files attached. As for me it is critical bug as I was not able to proceed with installation. It is possible to produce this bug. I tried several times with different sequences of choices, every time the same result.
