I have exact same problem on my newer installation : Xlib: extension "RANDR" missing on display ":0.0". The program 'filezilla' received an X Window System error. This probably reflects a bug in the program. The error was 'BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)'. (Details: serial 24082 error_code 8 request_code 152 minor_code 5) (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously; that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it. To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)
lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 10.10 Release: 10.10 apt-cache policy filezilla filezilla: Installé : 3.3.3-1ubuntu1 Candidat : 3.3.3-1ubuntu1 Table de version : *** 3.3.3-1ubuntu1 0 500 http://fr.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ maverick/universe i386 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status I re installed the software and had this error message : Xlib : extension "RANDR" missing on display ":0.0". the software still didnot work properly. I dont know what to do else than using separate install from synaptics. Actually, using version 3.3.5.1 of filezilla software seems to solve the problem. bye -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/589626 Title: Crashed reproducable while connecting to sftp site with following error -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
