Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xdg-utils

Noticed initially when reporting bugs through apport after a crash, and
when clicking on URLs in xchat-gnome; then confirmed from commandline
with xdg-open, and just for kicks, when entering 'ubuntu-bug xdg-utils'
to submit this bug:

My configured default browser is Chrome (specifically google-chrome-
unstable). But when something uses xdg-open to open a URL, that URL
opens in Firefox.

It should open in my configured default browser. :-)

I think behaviour may be different when chrome is already open but
firefox isn't (can't confirm right now without abandoning this bug
report); but when both are already open, xdg-open still favours firefox.
