I just tested with this release of OpenOffice on KUbuntu 10.10 64-bit
AMD and the problem is fixed here.

OpenOffice.org 3.2.1
OOO320m19 (Build:9505)
ooo-build 3.2.1.4, Ubuntu package 1:3.2.1-7ubuntu1.1

I'm in the middle of writing several books and cannot possibly risk
trying LibreOffice since the install procedure appears to try and
"Upgrade" OO. I need OO in some kind of stable form to finish.
Currently Symphony from IBM is completely unusable on the Debian
platforms.

No U.S. troops have ever lost their lives defending our ethanol
