** Description changed: I would like to get approval for a FeatureFreezeException for the package "scribes" for the releaseversion r899. REASONS: The current version in ubuntu (and debian as well for that matter) is r543 and is severely broken with many bugs fixed in the new release. Even the author has stated on http://mystilleef.blogspot.com/2010/10/scribes-gets-ubuntu-ppa.html that the version in ubuntu should NOT be used. I will file a bug in the debian BTS too to get the update in debian so we can sync for the next ubuntu release. + + IMPACT: The package has no rdepends. BUILDING: The build process in a clean pbuilder environment finished without error, buildlog attached. TESTING: I've installed and tested the basic functions. It works without errors.
