Hello Charlie, First of all, sorry for not replying to your first request; it has been all the time on my ToDo list, but unfortunately, I kept postponing it.
Today, I performed a few tests and the problem seems to have disappeared. - I uninstalled the version compiled manually and installed the version from the natty repository. (I am running the natty development version with the classic desktop (GNOME 2.x)) - Then I enabled Assistive Technology, logged out and logged again in. I was able to write several paragraphs without having a crash. So, I decided to test the version from the repository also with the Assistive Technology framework being disabled and it seems to be stable also when at-spi is not running. I am now writing with dasher for more than one hour without a crash. I am currently also writing this reply with dasher from the natty repositories and I wonder whether this bug should not be closed. In fact, I remember that when I filed this bug, the version from the repository crashed very often: I was not able to write a few sentences in one go without a crash. I will continue using the version from the repo instead of the manually compiled version and will let you know if dasher starts crashing again. If you need further questions, please let me know. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/652227 Title: dasher crashed with SIGSEGV in Dasher::BudgettingPolicy::apply() -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
