your are looking at the logs of /dist-upgrade/20110220-2211/
My complete system freezing with nice blinking shift lock led occured
during the /dist-upgrade/20110220-2200/, look at those logs please, and
you'll see xserver-xorg-video-nouveau is not a problem there. So my
issue is not "why is it broken now", it's because the system failed
during previous upgrade. My question is why did it completly freeze
during upgrade. This behavior is not mentionned anywhere in the issue
you assume duplicate.
