It seems that it is a problem:
0) It is only possible to run the program from a terminal
1)The program only starts in that way if the internet connection is working
(???)
2) If I try to exit, the program crashes and crt-c need to be done to let it
to stop
However the most important is:
3) without internet it can not run and reports:
"no lib found, check that kdebase is properly installed"
The problem is that synaptic couldnt install it, nor konkeror.
I dont know if your problem is the same as I got the wrong idea to upsdate from
dapper to edgy.
However, it sounds to me as a bug related with gnome-kde compatibility.
 Regards,
Gustavo
