Hello is clear that you have installed ubuntu inside windows using wubi (7 HPFS/NTFS), but in this way you can only see how ubuntu works, but not what it can really do. So i suggest you to install Ubuntu side by side (or better outside) windows. So please refere for more information to your local ubuntu comunity (googling ubuntu..your nation can point you in the right direction)
