The session ended before the workspace was loaded. In the Virtualbox OSE Manager it stood "Natty (the name of the guest OS) interrupted". After removing virtualbox-ose-guest-x11 Natty worked OK as a guest.
However, I just updated entire Virtualbox OSE to version 4.02.
