Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: debian-installer

We have been testing a new system with various distros. Previously setup with
debian etch - software RAID1 with LVM on top. /boot on it's own 100MB RAID1
partition. The rest of the disks are RAID1'ed and /dev/md1 is set as a PV for
LVM.

I wanted to upgrade to fesity. I booted off the fesity daily build
alternative AMD64 CD. When the partitioner starts, the partitions for
RAID are detected. The RAID volumes are correctly detected when you go
into RAID setup. The RAID volume is detected as an LVM partition but the
LVs aren't detected. If you go into LVM setup, the installer hangs.
Activating the 2nd terminal, the process causing the problem is vgchange
-a

It all works fine if you use the edgy alternative CD.

** Affects: debian-installer (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
