I would be interesting in trying to patch this, or get a branch into bzr. I am not sure how to reproduce the bug in Natty. I have tried introducing an alteration to /etc/xdg/menus/settings.menu and then running an update with update-manager. Also tried grepping for "Keep" or "Replace" etc.
Is this still a valid bug and if so, any pointers?
