Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ubiquity
as instructed, I am not attaching this to any other bug report, even though some of them sound similar. I just had 10.10 Kubuntu amd64 up and running for the first time. Everything checked out fine. Then I decided to go with a different partitioning. So I tried to re-install it with the same installation disk I had used the first time. When I got to the window that lets me partition the disks, the installer crashed repeatedly. Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/ubiquity/plugins/ubi-language.py", line 510, in check_returncode self.update_release_notes_label() File "/usr/ubiquity/plugins/ubi-language.py", line 642, in update_release_notes_label self.page.release_notes_label.setText(text) TypeError: QLabel.setText(QString): argument 1 has unexpected type 'NoneType' I am attaching the file /var/log/syslog - there is no /var/log/partman.
