Hmm, I'm trying to figure out in what order things happen here. In principle we have four things that can set the volume:
1) HDA driver initialization 2) /sbin/alsa-utils mixer restore script 3) gdm's pulseaudio 4) logged in user's pulseaudio. Is the volume loud on the login screen as well? Could you also supply an alsa-info (wiki.ubuntu.com/Audio/AlsaInfo) both before (right after boot, sound loud) and after (slider moved a tiny bit, sound normal)? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/661885 Title: After booting all sound is loud until the volume slider is slightly moved then sound works like normal until rebooting -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
