No, it looks more like a variant of bug #702090 to me. Same (lack of) symptoms, same EIR code, and same error message in dmesg. ** Description changed: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel I got this error report after (apparently problem-free) shutting down and starting my computer again. The only bug/crash I can think of now related to the gfx-driver is the bootsplash failing when starting the computer. This report might be a duplicate of https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/616986 and/or https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video- intel/+bug/612816. I'm a bit unsure since the one doesn't have any description and the other is regarding the screensaver. + From GPU dump: + ACTHD: 0xffffffff + EIR: 0x00000010 + EMR: 0xffffff15 + ESR: 0x00000011 + PGTBL_ER: 0x00000001 + IPEHR: 0x01000000 + IPEIR: 0x00000000 + INSTDONE: 0xfffffffe + INSTDONE1: 0xffffffff + + dmesg: + [ 83.072010] render error detected, EIR: 0x00000010 + [ 83.072010] IPEIR: 0x00000000 + [ 83.072010] IPEHR: 0x00000000 + [ 83.072010] INSTDONE: 0xfffffffe + [ 83.072010] INSTPS: 0x0001e000 + [ 83.072010] INSTDONE1: 0xffffffff + [ 83.072010] ACTHD: 0x00a0f328 + [ 83.072010] page table error + [ 83.072010] PGTBL_ER: 0x00000001 + [ 83.072010] [drm:i915_report_and_clear_eir] *ERROR* EIR stuck: 0x00000010, masking + ProblemType: Crash DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.04 Package: xserver-xorg-video-intel 2:2.14.0-1ubuntu6 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.38-2.29-generic-pae 2.6.38-rc3 Uname: Linux 2.6.38-2-generic-pae i686 Architecture: i386 Chipset: gm45 DRM.card0.DP.1: -
