I just called Toshiba support, (800) 457-7777, and explained our problem again. I referred them to this forum, this bug report, so they can read about it themselves... We now have Case # 110208-006462. It is being moved up the tech-support hierarchy at Toshiba - hopefully toward a positive outcome for all our "damaged" BIOS's and a fix for those those in future who will certainly experience the same...
