I can confirm this.
UUID for the swap partition was wrong in /etc/fstab. Swap was not mounted or 
activated.

I do not have laptop so I cannot test the hibernation.

Anyway, this is how to find the correct UUID for any partition.

Find the device name of swap.
$ sudo fdisk -l

Find the UUID for that partition. Eg.
$ sudo vol_id  /dev/sda3
