I'm going to try the boot options suggested above. This bug is affecting me because I have a KVM switch connected to this recently-built maverick server system. It's one that switches USB keyboard and mouse. When I switch away from the maverick system and switch back, I've lost the usb keyboard and mouse. The other 3 ports on the switch connect to a debian lenny server, a debian etch server and a new laptop running win 7. I've experienced this with linux-image-2.6.35-24-server kernel and the latest linux-image-2.6.35-25-server kernel.
My point is that this could be a showstopper bug for some people running servers because they need to connect/disconnect keyboard and mouse without rebooting. Perhaps the importance of this bug should be set accordingly. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/627862 Title: USB Mouse freezes randomly but consistently -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
