This affects me too. Chromium literally does absolutely nothing when launched, and no tabs load at all; even the new tab page itself doesn't load, remaining blank.
Strangely it's persistent even after updates, after uninstalling and reinstalling and after deleting my config profile. After a while it pops up a dialog stating that a tab is unresponsive, but whether you choose to kill the tab or cancel nothing happens. It then pops up again a while later.
