Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xorg-driver-fglrx
I am running Ubuntu Feisty beta on an AMD Athlon XP 3000+ CPU with 1 GB DDR RAM and an ATI Radeon 9600 pro deluxe with 256 MB RAM graphics card. uname -a: Linux ubuntu 2.6.20-14-generic #2 SMP Mon Apr 2 20:37:49 UTC 2007 i686 GNU/Linux Until today i have been working without problems with my card using the fglrx drivers. After today's update from previous fglrx drivers to xorg-driver-fglrx 7.1.0-8.34.8+2.6.20.5-14.18 my X-Server broke. Xorg log stops after these lines: #start (II) LoadModule: "fglrx" (II) Loading /usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers//fglrx_drv.so Backtrace: #end gdm log stops there too: #start (==) Log file: "/var/log/Xorg.0.log", Time: Wed Apr 11 10:05:46 2007 (==) Using config file: "/etc/X11/xorg.conf" Backtrace: #stop No more information about the problem is given by logs After changing "fglrx" with "radeon" in my xorg.conf the system works so i think it is a problem with the last fglrx update ** Affects: linux-restricted-modules-2.6.20 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- ubuntu xorg-driver-fglrx 7.1.0-8.34.8+2.6.20.5-14.18 upgrade broke X-server with ATI Radeon 9600 pro deluxe https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/105408 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
