hi,
like you will see in the content of the /etc/network/interfaces I am using
static ip, but I tried both ways. Nevertheless the bug disappeared a few
updates of my feisty fawn later.
Now I see the normal icon of the network-manager in the upper right corner, but
I am not sure if this was inteded in that way, in my opinion it would be
usefull if the user sees any difference between, used internet connection and
not (or seldom) used one, like in windowsXP, there the screens in the icons
change color to a brighter one when connection is used.

I hope my report will help you with your work.
Have a nice day.

Stefan
