The VarLogDistupgradeTermlog.gz appears to be mangled, did you run out of disk space during installation? If you free up disk space and install dictionaries-common again, does it succeed? If so, this is not a bug in dictionaries-common (but possibly one could specify more user- friendly behavior from synaptic and/or dpkg in this situation).
I am setting the Status of this bug report to Incomplete to mark it as pending on your response to the question above. Once you have supplied the requested information, it can be changed back to New (or Invalid, if my speculation is correct; or perhaps even Confirmed, if the bug is well-defined and repeatable). ** Changed in: dictionaries-common (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/658998 Title: package dictionaries-common 1.5.11ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade: ErrorMessage: subprocess installed post-installation script killed by signal (Aborted) -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
