I am pretty sure that my system would work if I connect C300 to other sata ports, controlled by Intel ICH, but I selected those hardware combination _especially_ because of C300 and Marvell controller being able to communication beyond sata 3G performance (benchmark proved that they really use that bandwith). As soon as there is the other operating system being able to work at that speed (though I admit I never measured, because at work I have to work and cannot play around with stuff like that for a long time...) there is no option for me to downgrade to older interface specifitations.
