Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: banshee

Banshee 1.8.0 generates a hickup or drop-out sound about 3 s after song
playback start. The time value 3s is an approximate value and applies to a song
somewhere within a playlist that is played through. When the user had jumped to
quite another song the time value may be longer.
The hickup or drop-out duration seems to be 20 to 100 ms. I did not measure it.
Exaile produces the same bug. Audacious does not.
I expect that Banshee will not produce a hickup or drop out sound a short time
after starting to play back a song.
