Also a problem here... Ubuntu 10.04
$ gnome-language-selector

  cell = combo.get_child().get_cell_renderers()[0]


When I open the language-selector it says that there are extra language 
packages to be installed,

"Some translations or writing aids available for your chosen languages
are not installed yet. Do you want to install them now?"

 but if I try to install it, it says

'Could not apply changes!
Fix broken packages first.


I have no broken packages listed in the synaptic package manager.
