I just proposed a merge of a branch that completes the libvala transition for ethos and fixes the fbtfs for me. Note that the rules file will only build the Python bindings for the default version (2.7 on Natty), but since the original bug report is primarily related to the libvala transition, a separate bug should be filed on ethos if we want to also build bindings for 2.6. We should only do that if we decide to keep Python 2.6 for Natty.
