Public bug reported: Binary package hint: pulseaudio
I've had sound working on this laptop for a long time now, but today I added a second monitor (VGA only, no HDMI or audio capabilities of any sort), its an ASUS VH192D, and the sound has stopped working. I don't see the correlation between them, but that's the only change from this morning when there was sound. >lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 10.10 Release: 10.10 >apt-cache policy pulseaudio pulseaudio: Installed: 1:0.9.22~0.9.21+stable-queue-32-g8478-0ubuntu21.1 Candidate: 1:0.9.22~0.9.21+stable-queue-32-g8478-0ubuntu21.1 Version table: *** 1:0.9.22~0.9.21+stable-queue-32-g8478-0ubuntu21.1 0 500 http://ca.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ maverick-updates/main i386 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 1:0.9.22~0.9.21+stable-queue-32-g8478-0ubuntu21 0 500 http://ca.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ maverick/main i386 Packages Let me know if you need any other information.
