Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-ati
When watching video in any software using Xvideo (Totem, MPlayer) the columns of the image are swapped. Everything is fine when using Xshm. The issue is related to big-endianess of my system (iBook G4). It has already been fixed upstream (https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=29041) and in Debian (http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=587999) but the package in Ubuntu 10.10 is still affected by this issue. I rebuilt the package with a patch from Debian package (radeon_video.c.diff from xserver-xorg-video- ati_6.13.1-2+squeeze1.diff.gz) and it seems to work fine. Quick details: - Ubuntu 10.10 - xserver-xorg-video-radeon-1:6.13.1-1ubuntu5 - KMS enabled (I think so), - DRI disabled (Xorg.0.log says so).
