@David I have a Toshiba Qosmio X500 with an Intel HDA sound card with the Conexant CX20583 (Pebble HSF). After installing HDAAnalizer.py and after changing the connection from 0x23 to 0x17, the internal mic started to work. I hope this helps you to develop a solution for other users.
