Disregard about the 'put' plugin - was filing the above while in that 'halfway' state and it seemed to bring context menus to the front. Have now reverted to the 0ubuntu3 compiz and see it didn't matter ( and every thing is working fine again in the Desktop Edition w/ unity and compiz
