I'm going to wait for the feisty release, and then I'll update the system to see if it works.
Also, after that, I'll be doing a clean install because this system as passed through a lot of dist-upgrades between releases :D I'll report here how the more recent thumbnailer behaves with those .rm files. I haven't checked back this bug-report, but... The behaviour hasn't changed with the current, released, stable ubuntu.
