Could we have a warning about incorrect paper-size setting in the UBUNTU
installation notes? This could reduce the printing problems associated with
pagesize and give more time to solve the underlying problems. Most users are
unaware of the pagesize file but they really understand problems with printout
doing 'peculiar things'. It may be simple to reset if you know the problem,
but the effects of incorrect setting seem widespread and superficially
unrelated. In my particular case the problem shows up with OpenOffice
(LibreOfffice RC1). when printing a writer page with a colour image on it. The
page prints half inch too high. (using HP 7100 ink jet), no problem in black
and white using a Brother HL-5250-DN. Exporting to PDF then printing was no
problem. (A4 - Letter = half inch)
So we have three problems?

1. Incorrect pagesize setting in installing UBUNTU 10.04, 10.10, 11.04? I use
English-GB, live in France and use A4 except for textile ink-jet printing which
is Letter (all Textile material comes from America and is not available in A4)
Just discovered the pagesize setting, easy when you know the answer!
2. OpenOffice (Libreoffice) may use pagesize differently depending on page
content? and /or
3. CUPS prints differently depending on printer type and print content.

So where do I report this / bug / requirement ? Keep smiling
