Public bug reported:

i installed ubuntu for the first time this morning, however after
running it from the hdd twice, it wouldnt boot up anymore and stopped
with the error

sh/bin: Can't access tty; Job control turned off

tried to boot a few more times without any success.

so i eventually decided to boot from the cd again - which worked - and
re-install, which caused this error:

System info:
- brandnew intel d805
- asrock 775dual board (raid off)
- 2gb ram
- ubuntu is running on primary master (ide) 80gb FAT hdd
- win xp home on 3rd master (sata)

would love to get this running!
