@sflitman, Wubi - windows ubuntu installer - can be run from a CD under windows, or using wubi.exe and the .iso in the same folder under windows, or just wubi.exe alone. They all result in the same "wubi-thing" that can be uninstalled.
Beware: there are some serious issues with grub at the moment on Wubi installs.
