Some potential issues: - Shouldn't we make sure the journal is clean, and that the volume was cleanly unmounted, before disabling it?
- What happens to the orphaned JournalInfo and Journal areas after this? It would probably be appropriate to delete the .journal and .journal_info_block files so we don't have to worry about this, but testing is needed.
