When I started up the system today, I got a dialog asking if I wanted to load "xmodmap". I chose to do so and I noticed that the touchpad scrolling is working. I don't know if it is related or not, nor if the scrolling issue is intermittent. In any case, it is working right now.
I'll attach the files... and syslog.1 which has the log from 12/2, when I saw the issue. Regards.
