Public bug reported:

I recently upgraded my system (using KPackageManager). After reinstalling,
XWindows did not load. I checked the error log and saw that nv was the culprit
so I reverted to my original xorg.conf and was able to startx... to my dismay
my wireless card wasn't identified either. I went to Hardware Drivers (jockey)
and saw that neither the wireless nor the display drivers were installed! I
tried starting with the wireless and jockey told me I had an error...
2010-12-01 08:45:07,120 WARNING: modinfo for module wl failed: ERROR: modinfo:
could not find module wl
2010-12-01 08:45:07,121 WARNING: /sys/module/wl/drivers does not exist, cannot
rebind wl driver

a quick google search later and I tried: apt-get install linux-
headers-$(uname -r) .... I was told that the drivers were being
reinstalled. modprobe wl brought my wireless interface back (when
before installing the headers modprobe wl failed). I didn't test that
nvidia is back up, but I feel its safe to assume that it is.

Bottom line, I feel like in the past the headers package was included in
kernel upgrades, so I figure this is a bug ;-)

Thanks!
