After posting the log I realized it's not going to have the fault
logged. Here is an updated xorg.conf and xorg.log. I added "1280x1024"
to the default color depth of 24 and rebooted. The display went blank
trying to load X and showed it was trying to run at 1280x1024 93.2Hz(or
close). I went to the terminal the made a copy of the xorg.log file.

This is the first error I've reported so sorry if I'm noobing it up.

I also wanted to say THANK you so freeken much to the devs and people
working on Ubuntu and all OSS projects. You people rock! I only wish I
had some kind of talent I could contribute to these projects beyond
filling out a trouble ticket.

The idea for the restricted driver manager is perfect! It's the best balance of
ease of use and usability while recognizing binary drivers are not the
preferred way to go. But sometimes you have to play the hand your given and
Ubuntu is first and foremost about ease of use. So yes, inform the new Ubuntu
user about what what this non open driver is, why it doesn't flow with the OSS
idea but let them install it so they can use the OS. If they can't use the
video well they aren't going to keep exploring Linux and get a bitter taste in
there mouth about the entire OSS experience.

I also love the new network and wireless manager!!!!!!!! almost more
than getting the ATI drivers working with one click.

Thanks so much,
Bart
