Same problem here using Mandriva 2010.1, kernel linux 2.6.33.7-desktop586-2mnb on usb flash drive w/ ext4 partitions. jbd2 continues to hammer on my flash drive. Disabling rsyslogd did stop the numerous log writes but jbd2 continues on. Switched away from ubuntu because I thought it was ubuntu flavor that was burning up my flash drive. Guess I was wrong.
