Well, I copied it from the /usr/lib folder in a Jaunty installation and
then changed the symlink /usr/lib/libgpod.so.4 to point to the newly
copied file.

But is fixed in Ubuntu 10.04 and 10.10, so why wouldn't you just
upgrade?
