I'm using the latest version of the flashplugin-nonfree package: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ dpkg -s flashplugin-nonfree | grep ^Vers Version: 9.0.31.0.2ubuntu1
I found out that the problem does not happen with every flash video player. I could reproduce the problem pretty reliably with the "small" Youtube player. Two out of three times the following makes Firefox hang: 1) Start Firefox 2) Open a second Tab 3) Go to www.youtube.com 4) In the right sidebar is an embedded video. Click on the big Play button. 5) Wait until the video is playing 6) Close the tab Again, this does not work every time but about 2/3 of the time this will hang my browser so that I have to kill it. A backtrace tells me that it's hanging in pthread_join called from within libflashplayer.so, so there is probably not much anyone can do about it... -- Firefox hangs when closing a page with flash running https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/98688 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
