I have had a grub timeout issue ever since I got Edgy (have not tried Feisty, but it uses the same grub ver) -- grub timeout occurs randomly and appears to be some sort of race condition, for example having a CD in the drive will slow down the BIOS enough to change whether the timeout begins countdown.
