Done - obviously I had to remove the 2nd GPU or I wouldn't be able to send this, otherwise my configuration is unchanged.

But just to check, have you successfully booted crossfire in any other configurations or other versions of Ubuntu? In any case, now that modesetting is handled by the kernel, this is a kernel wishlist so I'm refiling there. However, this type of work is normally done upstream so it'd be better to file this bug at https://bugs.freedesktop.org/ against radeon. Also, when filing bug reports please attach necessary logs. A handy tool to do this after a bug is filed is apport-collect. Please run: apport-collect 678148 Thanks ahead of time. ** Package changed: xorg (Ubuntu) => linux (Ubuntu) -- Cannot boot with 2xHD5970 in crossfire on GA-X58A-UD7 motherboard https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/678148 You received this bug notification because you are a direct subscriber of the bug. -- Cannot boot with 2xHD5970 in crossfire on GA-X58A-UD7 motherboard https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/678148 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
