Thanks Panticz for the solution. I do not care about any side effects in the recovery functionality ( if there are any ) Of course you have to sudo this command though. sudo sed -i '5s|true|false|g' /usr/lib/openoffice/basis3.*/share/registry/data/org/openoffice/Office/Recovery.xcu
That is good enough for me - as far as I am concerned this bug can be closed now. Any votes? @Florian Schröck - your comment: "i disabled the quickstarter and don't regret it when OOo has been started one time, linux caches it anyway and it will open fast again - without the quickstarter" ...If that is not a problem to you - than why are you here? To me - disabling something I liked using for many years is not an option. It only starts starting faster the second time IF the memory is not used in the meantime by something else. Go play quake wars - quit - and start office again - and you are back to square one. I like the one-click-insta-popup of all office apps. You do realize you only have to click once to pick and start any office app in the quickstarter? Well - I like that very much.... - Thanks again to Panticz.... -- [ooo-build] OOo QuickStarter: unable to shutdown / reboot / logout when quickstarter is active https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/562027 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
