Yeah, I didn't mention that I played with them, and several options worked, but 
mono makes sense.  I saw when I selected it that Master muted, while Master 
Mono, only remained on. It did work, but since the device for sound output had 
only one option "Internal Audio Analog Stereo "Stereo,"  I wasn't sure that I 
should select mono.  
However, it is true that it doesn't work when master mono is off.  OK, I'll set 
it to Analog Mono / Amp.
